John and Wanda Busch

Having been regular visitors to Steamboat since 1976, John and Wanda moved here permanently in 2002 after finding rural real estate in Colorado on which to build their home. They settled at Priest Creek Ranch with their Labradors, Buck and Cody, and four horses, Chief, Bayley, Sundance, and Spark. John and Wanda formerly owned the largest real estate and insurance agency in north-central Iowa, which they sold in 2001. John started his career after receiving a business degree in Finance from the University of Iowa in 1968, and soon became a respected multi-million dollar producer while becoming active and holding office in the Local, State and National Association of Realtors.

John served as Vice President, Director, and, for 12 years, Chairman of the Iowa Association of Realtors Legislative and Governmental Affairs Committee and in 1996 was awarded IOWA REALTOR OF THE YEAR. John was one of the first members of CRB (Certified Real Estate Broker) and CRS (Certified Residential Specialist) in the State of Iowa.

Wanda became active in the Real Estate business in 1988. Wanda and John are very proud of their six children, four in Waterloo, Iowa, and two in Denver, Colorado, all of whom are leading their own personal and professional lives. The Busches have also been blessed with six grandchildren.

David Magee

David is a graduate of Boston University where he studied history with a concentration in Native American studies. He has always had a fascination with the West. He has over 25 years of experience in various positions in the real estate and insurance fields. He has continued his studies to include pursuing his G.R.I. designation. David has received his Certificate for the Land Stewardship classes at Colorado Mountain College. These classes focus on various aspects of Ranch Management.

David is active in the local community, and serves as a volunteer at The Humble Ranch here in Steamboat. Humble Ranch runs an equine assisted therapy program for children and adults with disabilities.

David has a 21 year old son who competes for the Steamboat Winter Sports Club. He was a Junior Olympian and Rocky Mountain ½ Pipe Ski Champion. In his spare time, David enjoys living the Steamboat Lifestyle. He enjoys skiing, golf, bike riding, fly fishing and hiking in the mountains around Steamboat. He is a regular at the Steamboat rodeo and enjoys attending the concerts at Strings in the Mountains. He plays acoustic guitar. David owns a beautiful Paint Horse named Spirit Dancer. He is an avid horseman and enjoys working with clients seeking ranch and equestrian property, as well as any other type of property.
